Award-winning Scottish singer-songwriter and TEDx speaker Elaine Lennon will take to the stage with The Homebird Sessions Tour at The Blue Lamp, Aberdeen on October 3, as part of her upcoming Scottish tour.

She created the online version of The Homebird Sessions at the start of the lockdown in 2020, and following its success the show is now touring for live audiences across the country.

At The Blue Lamp Elaine will be joined by musical friend Jesse Terry for a relaxed and welcoming evening where audiences can enjoy the artists performing acoustic versions of their songs, hearing the stories that inspired them and tales from their respective musical journeys.

There will also be an interactive question and answer session, and a showcase artist performance from an up-and-coming songwriter.

Commenting on her upcoming tour Elaine said: “I’m delighted to be taking The Homebird Sessions on the road.

"I’m excited to welcome along Jesse Terry for this special evening and we can’t wait to connect with the audience in Aberdeen and make some wonderful memories.”

Singer-songwriter Jesse Terry has an uncanny ability to weave tales of travel and homecoming, of sorrow and of redemption, into songs that are simultaneously timeless and fresh.

He now resides in the coastal village of Stonington, Connecticut, but Terry’s music reflects an amalgam of influences, from Nashville to Laurel Canyon.

His melodic and lyrically-driven Americana fits naturally on a playlist between cuts from Josh Ritter, Jackson Browne, Ryan Adams and Neil Young.

His songs can also be heard on many top TV shows including When We Wander which recently appeared in Season 4 of the Netflix Show Virgin River.

Since committing to pursuing her passion for creating music in 2018, Elaine Lennon has become one of Scotland’s fastest rising stars, winning comparisons to the likes of Lori McKenna, Annie Lennox, Nina Simone, and Adele.

Her songs have received airplay on radio stations across the country, with her distinctive vocal and style linking a unique blend of old and new influences, and Elaine’s music and live performances are praised for their ability to connect with and inspire audiences.

The tour coincides with the release of a specially recorded duet cover with Boo Hewerdine of What A Wonderful World, a favourite song for both artists.

The track is a stripped-back duet with Boo on guitar.

This version of the song was originally performed by both artists at the October 2021 Homebird Sessions Show as their choice of collaborative track, and it is now being released to reflect the acoustic quality of the tour.

A collaborative Christmas single HO HO HO It’s CHRISTMAS TIME!, written by Elaine and a group of pupils from Holy Cross Primary in Croy pre-lockdown, will also be released under The Homebird Sessions Label in conjunction with the upcoming tour.

The third collaborative single to come from the show, it will be available on Bandcamp from November 4 and across all other platforms from November 10.
