Hill of Fare Windfarm campaign group set to hold public meeting

The Hill of Fare Windfarm Information Group (HOFWIG) are set to host a Know the Issues public meeting on Wednesday, June 14 at 8pm in the Midmar Hall.

RES the windfarm developer and the Dunecht Estates have submitted a proposal to build a windfarm on the Hill of Fare consisting of 16 turbines of around 200m tall which will have an impact on those living on and around the hill and those along the power export route.

The event will provide an update on the issues andthe latest information about the proposed development.

Next week sees the developer RES set to hold their own events.

Four more public exhibitions for local residents will take place on Tuesday, June 20 and Wednesday 21.

On June 20, RES will be at Banchory Town Hall between 11am and 2pm and Midmar Hall between 5pm and 8pm

On June 21, RES will be at the Learney Hall between 11am and 2pm and Echt Hall between 5pm and 8pm.
