High tide flood warnings issued along Aberdeenshire and Moray coasts





An updated flood warning has been issued for several areas along the north-eastern coastline in Moray and Aberdeenshire for Sunday.

Findhorn to Lossiemouth - A combination of high tides and strong winds means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads, and properties along Moray Firth from Findhorn to Lossiemouth. Wave overtopping is expected to affect low lying parts of Lossiemouth that includes, the Marina, Marina Quay, Seatown Road and Seatown. The harbour at Burghead could be affected by coastal flooding.

Large waves and flooding impacts are expected.

The greatest risk is around the time of high tide on Sunday at 1.30pm.

Spey Viaduct to Spey Bay -flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying areas. Properties and roads in Kingston and Garmouth are also at risk, including the B9015 Kingston Road.

The greatest risk is around the high tide on Sunday at 1.30pm.

Rosehearty to Fraserburgh - Wave overtopping and flooding impacts are expected.

The greatest risk is around the time of high tide at 12.45pm on Sunday.

Stonehaven - Wave overtopping is expected around Cowie Promenade. Large waves and flooding impacts are expected.

The greatest risk is around the time of high tide on Sunday at 2.30pm.
