HEAVY rain and gale-force winds of up to 60mph are both being predicted for Moray and Aberdeenshire this coming Wednesday.
The Met Office has released a yellow warning from noon that day until 7am the following morning.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Strong winds associated with Storm Agnes are expected to move north-east on Wednesday, with the chance they could be significantly disruptive.
"There is some uncertainty on the precise track and depth of the low, however the most likely outcome at present is for a wide swathe of 50 to 60 mph gusts to affect inland areas, perhaps locally stronger over and to the lee of hills in the north.
"Longer journey times are likely as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected. Some roads and bridges are likely to close."
Storm Agnes, it's added, could lead to flying debris and damage to buildings.
