The exhibition opens on Thursday, March 21 and runs until Sunday March 24 daily from 10am to 4pm where visitors will also be able to see artists at work in their chosen media, such as ceramacist Natalie Naylor with her intricate pieces in the making.

Event co-ordinator Sheena Farquhar explained: "We wanted to give our artists, adults and young folk the opportunity of having a 'shop window' for their work.

"Altogether we have 106 mixed media entries including some 3D studies.

"We are very grateful to Cumminston art group who have lend us the display boards."

Awards will be given by Donside Frames, J&A Keepsakes and Frameworks.

Pupils from Inverurie academy and Kellands primary have been invited to enter a schools competition with the theme A Room with a View resulting in some very different and interesting interpretations.
