Moray Council and tsiMORAY in link-up to bolster Covid-19 support
A MORAY Covid-19 online help resource has been expanded to ensure families can get assistance quickly.
tsiMORAY has joined forces with Moray Council to ensure all services and information specific to families in Moray is listed in the Covid-19 Community Database.
The expanded database brings all information and contacts from the third sector and council services under one umbrella.
The database was set up in the first week of lockdown and has become one of Moray’s go-to sources during the crisis – but a major issue for many has been where to find trusted information, and quickly.
Communications and design officer with tsiMORAY, Pamela Fanning, who created the database, said: "What we have learned in the last few months is that our database contains many services that can support children and families and people of all ages.
"It’s also becoming a valuable source of knowledge for people and professionals who work in Moray's communities.
"This next stage of the database development would not be possible without Moray Council’s support and co-operation."
All commissioned services for adults that are providing Covid-19 support are registered on the database.
The council will finalise the database update in the coming week in response to emerging needs of financial support, mental health and wellbeing, and family support.
Its head of education resources and communities, Jo Shirriffs, says the resource will help individuals, communities, third sector and public sector professionals to meet the needs of Moray residents.
She said: "This is about providing quality information in one place and making sure it is easily accessible so that everyone can get the support they need without trawling the web and making endless phone calls.
"We are very pleased to be working together with tsiMORAY on this vital project."
