Aurora Productions are putting on the show at the Stewarts Hall from November 28 to December 2.

Director Hannah McGinlay and musical director Hugh Johnstone said they were excited to bring panto back while showcasing a range of local talent.

Mr Johnstone said: “It’s amazing that we have so many great performers on our doorstep.

“We can’t wait to show off everything that we’ve been working on, in a show that will be fun for all the family.”

Getting stuck into the well-known story of plucky Jack Trott and his trip up the beanstalk, many familiar faces feature among the cast alongside some new performers.

Keith panto newcomer Sarah Tassell is taking on the challenge of playing Jack.

Ms Tassell said: “I am having so much fun playing the cheeky lad Jack Trott.

“He would do anything for the people he loves, even if it means climbing a giant beanstalk.

“The show is filled with great songs, vibrant dances and lots of laughs – I know we are having plenty during rehearsals.”

Aurora chairperson Lewis Moggach will play Jack’s mother Dame Trott; Mallory Black is set to play Silly Simon; Neil Bell-Forsyth will take on the role of the evil Fleshcreep; Kirsten Rennie will be Princess Jill; June Cranna and Selena Govier will be Fairies Evergreen and Willow respectively; and James Watt will play the King.

A cast of local chorus members have been busy learning the show’s top choreography and catchy songs.

Tickets are available at Orb’s Bookshop, and online here, or by calling 01466 780889.

Performances are nightly at 7.30pm from Tuesday, November 28 to Thursday November 30.

Friday, December 1 will see two shows at 5pm and 8pm.

And Saturday’s matinee will see shows at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
