A BUZZING Gartly event will bring canine thrills and spills to the village – and all for a good cause.
Loyal tail-wagging companions from across the area will come together on Sunday, July 9 at Gartly Community Hall, for the Gartly Community Association's Charity Fun Dog Show.
Categories at the show will include waggiest tail, most appealing eyes, prettiest bitch and best rescue.
And there will even be a special category where dog-lovers younger than 12 can showcase their best friend.
The top four in each class will receive rosettes, with class winners having a shot at Best in Show.
Dogs coming along to the event, which will start at 10am, can be entered into multiple categories for an entry fee of £2 per class.
Gartly Community Association secretary Lynn Rutter, who described the event as "delightful" and "fun for the whole family, said: "It's an opportunity for dog owners to showcase their beloved companions and share in the joy of being part of a compassionate community.
"And it's an excellent opportunity to discover local businesses and organizations while supporting a great cause."
Refreshments will be available at the the Tin Hut event, along with a range of local stalls.
Gartly Community Association partnered with two charities Santerpaws Rescue and the Basset Rescue Network of GB for the dog show, which will raise funds to help them support dogs in need.
Proceeds will also benefit the Gartly Community Association which operates the Tin Hut and supports local causes.
