Dead Space (2023) on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC sees Isaac Clarke returns to the USG Ishimura in this remake of the critically acclaimed survival horror epic

Repair engineer Isaac Clarke docks with the USG Ishimura for routine work, only to find disaster, horror and a missing girlfriend!

The Dead Space franchise is making a return with this remake of the original instalment, and fans have been very positive about what they’ve seen so far in the released trailers and footage.

Completely rebuilt, the EA Motive Studio team have added detail and, while keeping to the original story, making changes that will pack plenty of surprises for even the most hardcore fans of the franchise.

This isn’t just a remake with a new lick of paint.

The developers have listened to feedback and taken advantage of technology that has moved on since the original release in 2008, making improvements to the game environment and gameplay.

The Dead Space remake is expected to deliver on its hype, offering fans a new look and feel to a game they love, and bringing new gamers to a world of claustrophobic, space station horror, that will have them slicing and blasting monsters for hours.

Final Fantasy XVI on PS5 sees Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise celebrate its 35th anniversary

Final Fantasy XVI is set to shake things up.

A new combat system designed by Ryota Suzuki, who worked on games such as Devil May Cry 5 and Dragon’s Dogma, promises to be the series’ most stylish yet.

Naoki Yoshida, director of beloved MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, is on hand as producer and XIV’s composer is also lending his expertise.

The story takes place in the mediaeval setting of Valisthea, a world where nations use powerful summoned monsters to wage war for magical artefacts.

Taking more than a hint of influence from Game of Thrones, the 18 rating promises a no-holds-barred adventure.

Spongebob comes to town.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake pm PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch lets players travel across worlds like Wild West Jellyfish Fields and Halloween Rock Bottom, as SpongeBob and Patrick gain hold of magic bubbles from a mysterious fortune teller Madame Kassandra.

These worlds will be full of knights, cowboys, pirates, and prehistoric snails, along with favourite characters from the series, like Sandy the squirrel, and Gary the snail.

The game looks to be your classic platformer with the ability for SpongeBob to change costumes and ride animals and surfboards. The acting won’t throw you off, as the game features the original voice actors.

Overall, it looks to be a charming game with smooth gameplay and graphics.
