A north-east photographer is raising money this weekend while also potentially saving four-legged lives.

Aberdeen-based Iska Birnie, who specialises in animal photography as well as weddings, will host a virtual dog first aid course on Saturday, January 30, to raise money for Scottish Mountain Rescue.

A fundraising first aid course hosted by trainer Catherine Phillips earlier this month raised over £500 for Scottish Police K9 Memorial Fund.

Saturday's course will take place online (hosted live by Catherine and Iska) from 10am-2pm, and spaces are still available which can be booked by e-mailing hello@iskabirniephotography.co.uk

Award winning photographer Iska is also a keen hillwalker and while she is fortunate to have never personally required their help she recognises the value of the volunteers at Scottish Mountain Rescue and this is why she has chosen to raise money for them.
