The group is now in full swing after the summer break and welcomed two new members and guest demonstrator Jane Gordon.

Jane, from Elderslie near Paisley is a national demonstrator and travels all over the country.

She fascinated her audience with her swift assemblage of complicated arrangements all the while chatting about her work and busy life.

One striking tiered arrangement on a floral axis complete with a tiny pair of clogs was inspired by her recent visit to Amersterdam, the Tulip city beloved of all floral artists.

She also created a flower tableau for Scotland musically accompanied by Scotland the Brave.

The vote of thanks was given by vice-president Moira Thomson.
