Thanks to the local community the £2066 in funds raised by the event are to go to the Choose Love charity who are supporting the earthquake rescue effort.

Friends of Amal (Arabic for Hope) organised the coffee afternoon and money raised will go to earthquake victims and to bring relief and comfort to those who have lost their homes

Katie Maclean of Aberdeenshire council's Refuge and Asylum management, said: "The coffee afternoon has been a great success helping these new Scots to integrate more freely."
