Four Star success for Garioch and Bennachie tourist sites

The Bennachie Visitor Centre and the Garioch Heritage Centre are the latest tourist facilities in the north-east to be awarded four star status.
Following recent Visit Scotland Quality Assurance visits, both locations have been upgraded to the four star ranking.
Jan Lythgoe the Centre Warden at he Bennachie Visitor Centre said: "This is fantastic news for everyone involved in the Centre.
"As a small charity (the Bennachie Centre Trust) we rely on our visitors support to enable us to achieve what we do, so a big thank you goes out to you all."
A spokesperson for the Heritage Centre said: "We're celebrating here at Garioch Heritage Centre as not only are we currently the number one visitor attraction in Inverurie on Tripadvisor, we have also just been upgraded to a 4-star visitor attraction by VisitScotland.
"Our thanks and appreciation goes to all our staff and volunteers for their extremely hard work which makes the Centre what it is and to the community for supporting us by visiting, enjoying time in Cafe Loco, and holding events at the Centre."
The centre is currently hosting Fashion Through the Ages - an exhibition of fashion from the past 100 years which runs Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 4pm until September 3.
Visit Scotland Quality awards look at the whole experience for visitors and includes pre-arrival information such as website and promo, staff friendliness and service, cleanliness of the site, arrival first impressions, the core experience, retail, catering and toilets.
The two sites join a list of nearly 40 four-star locations in the north-east including Castle Fraser, Celebrations of Turriff and Macduff Aquarium.
