Fond farewell to a friendly face

Pupils, staff and colleagues said a fond farewell to catering team member Lorna Chalmers who hung up her apron after 30 years at the school.

Having started back when the school was located at Markethill, this week marked the end of a long career at the Primary.

Lorna said: "My thanks go to everyone at the school and to all those I have worked with over the years and especially the young ones.

"I'm looking forward to a well earned rest".

Area catering officer Pat Dawson said: "She has been here for 30 years and is a real gem, dedicated to her work and so loved by the kids, we've been so grateful to have her for so long as part of the team."
