Five sentenced for north-east County Lines drug dealing operation

At Glasgow High Court today, Friday, July, 21 four men and one woman have been sentenced to a total of 22 years in prison following an operation that resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of cash and Class A drugs.

Ramel Blake-Appleby (35), Kym Martin (35), Eugene Asiedu (32), Brian Noble (40) and Michelle Quinn (40) were arrested following the intelligence led investigation into a Serious and Organised Crime Group operating within the Aberdeen area.

Drugs with a street value of over £350,000 were seized as well as over £19,000 cash.

Detective Constable Ed Casey said : “This sentencing underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Drug supply causes so much misery in our communities and we remain committed to identifying county line activity in our local communities.

“We need the public to keep passing on information so we can disrupt these criminals.

"If anyone has any concerns regarding the abuse of controlled drugs, or anyone who may be involved in the supply of controlled drugs, they are urged to contact Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
