Fire crews attend grassland blaze near Macduff

Firefighters were called out to a blaze affecting a large area of grass and trees at Longmanhill on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire service was alerted at about 12.08pm and six appliances were sent to the incident.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.08pm on Wednesday, September 30 to reports of a large area of grass and trees on fire near Macduff.

"Operations Control mobilised six fire appliances to the scene, near Longmanhill, where firefighters remain working to extinguish the fire. There are no casualties."
