"Now Covid restrictions have been lowered I’m holding a launch event in Macduff. I want to focus on the Banff and Turriff areas as that’s where I’m from.

"For the event I have guest speaker Peter Roper an investment manager from Rowan Dartington. Peter’s expertise is delivering bespoke investment solutions, all built on a foundation of sound financial planning.

"The event is free for people to attend."

Mr Bruce got into financial planning after he was made redundant from his job in the oil and gas industry.

It was not the first time the mechanical engineer had to deal with redundancy and he was getting tired of the lack of job security.

His father Peter is an accountant and he always had an interest in investments and financial planning.

He was accepted into a training programme for financial advisers called St James’s Place Academy in November 2020.

During his time studying, he was assigned a mentor to help guide and advise him who was Vee Thom, owner and director of VT Wealth, which has offices in Aberdeen and Fraserburgh.

Once he completed the programme he took up a role with the firm and now works with their clients to develop financial plans including pensions, mortgages, savings and investments schemes.

Anyone interested in attending the event can contact Mr Bruce by email troy.bruce@sjpp.co.uk or call 07872589337.
