This year’s Den Dasher and Tinsel Trot fundraising events will still go ahead online.

The popular running events are the latest victims of the pandemic, however organisers are inviting people to take part in their own time to raise money for a good cause.

The Den Dasher 5k and Tinsel Trot 1k can be run any time between November 29 and December 6.Participants must ensure they adhere to all local guidelines.

All entrants for the 5k event must be at least five years old on November 30.

The £10 entry fee includes a themed medal posted to the participant after their race time has been submitted (using Strava, Garmin, or similar).

There will also be prizes for best fancy dress.

Money raised through this year’s event will support Turriff Nursery’s Christmas appeal, which sees them work alongside local health visitors to ensure vulnerable children in and around Turriff receive gifts this Christmas.
