Festive creations abound at the Garioch Heritage Centre

Nimble-fingered Garioch Heritage society volunteers have been busy the last few weeks creating festive wreaths at the Heritage centre in Inverurie.

Earlier this week they have run up 115 of their striking arrangements - and still counting.

Orders can be taking up till December 17.

Much of the greenery has come from their own gardens or has been donated by other society members.

Said Jenni Cruickshank: "It has become quite a social occasion for us all."

Expert arboreal artist Jenni has been instructing the less experienced in this intricate art.

After the foliage circle, pine cones, cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices and colouful ribbon bows are carefully woven in.

One volunteer has solved the problem of handling prickly Holly - thin rubber gloves!

Their workroom has the bonus of being filled with the fragrant scent from newly-cut Leylandii and Holly
