Farmers learn about Rural Crime prevention at Portsoy event

Officers from Police Scotland were amongst those attending the North East Rural Crime Event which was held in Portsoy on Monday.

Chief Inspector Simon Reid opened the event aimed at offering advice and support to farmers and those working in agriculture.

Attendees were given crime prevention advice from the Crime Reduction team and the Scottish Partnership Against Rural Crime (SPARC).

North East Police Cybercrime Team gave advice about staying safe online and protecting your business.

Firearms Licensing and Wildlife Officers also represented the Police while Farmstream CCTV, Valtra Agriculture Services and NFU Scotland were also on hand to answer any questions.

SAS Wildcat Cardiac Responders provided CPR and Defibrillator demonstrations and Scottish Fire and Rescue discussed the risks on farms and fire safety advice.

A special thanks was made to Charlie and Phil Gray of Gray Farms, Portsoy, for supporting the event at their venue along with NFU Scotland.
