Tomorrow evening the family of John Seivwright, the Keith Community Radio DJ, will present the final show he had prepared before his death this week.

John was a KCR stalwart for many years and served as the station's chairman until 2021.

A KCR spokesperson said: "It is with great sadness we announce to our friends and listeners the passing of our honorary president, long serving presenter and dear friend, John Seivwright

"John started presenting on KCR from Randall Webster's basement, broadcasting to the local homes and hospital.

"He was the first person to broadcast KCR on FM on the 27th October 1997 and was our longest serving presenter.

"Affectionately known as 'The Manny on the Tranny' with his show Mainly Scottish he will be sorely missed by his many followers and the KCR family.

"John worked hard over the years both on and off air, promoting KCR and bringing entertainment, fun and laughter to us all.

"Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

John's final Mainly Scottish show will be broadcast on 107.7FM from 6pm-8pm on Friday, February 10.
