A spectacular show of Beatles memorabilia attracted visitors, young as well as those from that golden 60s age to Garioch Heritage centre in Inverurie at the weekend.

This remarkable collection featuring incidents, happenings and memorable dates in the lives of the fab four belongs to Inverurie man Billy Wright.

What began as a modest hobby has escalated to a huge collection of Beatlemania..

Having long outgrown a garden shed fortunately Billy now has a large barn to house it all - now including guitars, books, photographs, magazines, records to name a few.

He said: "I'm pleased to see that the Beatles still have an appeal to the younger generations.

"For us older folk I think it is a case of pleasing nostalgia."

Friday evening's pre0event at the Garioch Heritage centre was a huge hit too.

There was live music from Four Way Street, dancing, 60s dress and refreshments enjoyed by over 100 guests.
