Essential works see closure of Insch Level Crossing for five days

Due to maintenance works to be carried out by Network Rail/Sunbelt TM at Insch Level Crossing it has been deemed necessary in the interests of public safety to apply the following restriction to traffic which will run with immediate effect until 6am on Friday, May 3.

The diversion is via the B9002 Insch to Kennethmont Road to A97 south of Gartly, A97 to A96 at Huntly, A96 to B992 at Mill of Newton, B992 to Insch, B992 Denwell Road, Drumrossie Street, Commerce Street and Commercial Road to B9002 North Road, Insch and vice versa.

Access cannot be maintained for emergency vehicles due to the crossing panels being lifted out for maintenance works.

Access has been provided for pedestrians from 6am to 11pm each day of the closure. There will be no pedestrian access during the works overnight.
