Essential works on the A96 to resume at Kintore

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland are set to carry resume essential carriageway maintenance on the A96 at Kintore.

The scheme will involve structural reconstruction of an approximately 1233 metre length of the southbound A96 trunk road carriageway from Kintore Business Park to the Forest Road over-bridge.

Works began back at the start of December and were stopped for the festive holidays.

urther overnight convoy working from 7.30pm to 6.30am each night will resume from Sunday, January 14 to Thursday 25.

Traffic management will be removed by 6.30am on Friday 26.

When works are being carried out across the southbound off slip road for the B977 Clovenstone/Kintore, traffic will continue south to the B977 Kintore/Dunecht junction and return north to take the northbound off slip road.

When works are being carried out across the southbound on slip road, traffic will join the northbound A96 and turn at Thainstone Roundabout to join the southbound carriageway.
