Essential works on the A96 to get underway at Kintore

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland are set to carry out essential carriageway maintenance scheme on the A96 at Kintore.
The scheme will involve structural reconstruction of an approximately 1233 metre length of the southbound A96 trunk road carriageway from Kintore Business Park to the Forest Road over-bridge.
Works are due to be undertaken using overnight convoy working from 7.30pm to 6.30am each night, from Sunday, December 10 to Thursday 21.
Traffic management will be removed by 6.30am on Friday 22.
Works will then recommence after the festive break, with further overnight convoy working from 7.30pm to 6.30am each night, from Sunday, January 14 to Thursday 25.
Traffic management will be removed by 6.30am on Friday 26.
When works are being carried out across the southbound off slip road for the B977 Clovenstone/Kintore, traffic will continue south to the B977 Kintore/Dunecht junction and return north to take the northbound off slip road.
When works are being carried out across the southbound on slip road, traffic will join the northbound A96 and turn at Thainstone Roundabout to join the southbound carriageway.
