Police say death of man in Keith not "suspicious" but enquiries continue

POLICE say enquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Keith.

The 44-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after officers were called to Regent Street in the Moray town at around 10.40am on Saturday, January 20.

The street was cordoned off but officers believe there are not any "suspicious" circumstances regarding the incident.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "At around 10.40am on Saturday, January 20, police were called to an incident on Regent Street, Keith.

“A 44-year-old man was pronounced dead.

“Enquiries are continuing however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
