Road remains closed following fire near Fochabers with emergency services still in attendance

EMERGENCY services are still in attendance at a Moray premises as fire crews continue to try and extinguish the flames.

Emergency services were mobilised to a fire at a premises on the B9015 in Orton, Fochabers at around 10.53am this morning.

It is understood that around six fire appliances were mobilised but the B9015 and B9103 towards Orton Bridge and Inchberry Hall remain closed.

There are no reports of any injuries.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 10.53am on Monday, May 15 to reports of a dwelling fire near Fochabers, Moray.

"Operations Control mobilised six fire appliances and a number of specialist resources to the scene at the B9015.

"Crews currently remain on scene working to extinguish the fire.

"There are no reported casualties."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "We received a report of a fire at a premises on the B9015 in Orton, Fochabers, around 11.30am on Monday, May 15, 2023.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the B9015 to the B9103 is closed towards Orton Bridge and Inchberry Hall.

"Drivers are asked to avoid the area."
