Ellon's quizzers put to the test for Gordon District Friends of CHAS

A packed McDonald Golf Club in Ellon played host to a fundraising evening on Saturday, held by members of the Gordon District Friends of CHAS.

CHAS - Children's Hospices Across Scotland has been in operation for 31 years, providing support for families of babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

This includes palliative care, family respite and support through its two national facilities and with specialised local assistance in Aberdeen.

Now in their 26th year, the Gordon District group have raised over £400,000 towards the charity and in Ellon a full turn out helped raise £1858.

A spokesperson for the group said; "Thank you to all our sponsors, teams, people who bought raffles and others who gave monetary donations.

"Your support and generosity is very much appreciated."
