Councillor Gillian Owen said: "Many people are taking the opportunity of being at home to have a sort out, but the problem is where to put the bags of recycling.

“But I was really disappointed to see that once again someone has left bags of clothes dumped at the Aldi Salvation Army Recycling bin.

"Everyone must know by now that no one is collecting.

"Many of us are taking the time at home to clear out old clothes and the like but please store them do not dump them.

"If you go to a recycle bin and its full take it back home.”

She continued, “Like most people I am taking my daily exercise and keeping to social distancing many people have asked when the Recycling Centre will be re-opened?

"The truth is I don’t know.

"I have asked the question and even suggested that households are allocated composters, this would help greatly with storing garden waste, as with the fine weather most of us are spending time cutting the grass and pruning trees and the like.

"Once I hear any news I will of course pass this on.”
