EIGHT people in Fochabers are celebrating after winning £1000 each in the Postcode Lottery.

The Milne Road neighbours netted £8000 between them when IV32 7HP was announced as one of today's daily prize winners.

A minimum of 32 per cent of the money raised through ticket sales goes directly to charities. People’s Postcode Lottery players have raised more than £500 million for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by the Wildlife Trusts, which has received more than £10.7 million in funding from the Postcode Lottery. The trusts run around ten thousand wildlife events each year and work to make sure everyone has access to wildlife and nature in their daily lives.

The next opportunity local charities will have to apply for funding will be early 2021. For more information on the People’s Postcode Lottery, please visit www.postcodelottery.co.uk.
