Aberdeenshire based family-run animal feed mill and nutrition specialists, East Coast Viners, has pledged to raise £10,000 for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) in the charity’s 10th year.

This will be kickstarted at the agricultural shows throughout the summer, including the Royal Highland this week and upcoming events including Turriff, Perth and Grantown, with a spin the wheel competition, followed by active and social events in the autumn.

Commercial Manager of East Coast Viners Animal Nutrition, Graham Forbes, said:“Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is an organisation we’ve long admired and which is critical for so many of our customers and staff who live rurally, and some very remotely.

"It achieves enormous feats, and we want to support its work as it celebrates its 10th year and beyond.

"We look forward to getting all our customers and team involved in raising a huge amount of money over the next few months.”

The fast response of SCAA and its ability to reach Scotland’s most remote and rural areas saves critical minutes in serious medical situations.

It currently operates two helicopters and two rapid response vehicles - taking life-saving pre-hospital care to the scene of time-critical emergencies. SCAA is an integral part of Scotland’s frontline emergency response network, covering an area of more than 30,000 square miles.
