The newly opened E3 Hub in the Business Centre on Gordon Street in Huntly is gearing up to provide a range of free online and in-person events and activities this Spring.

The events are open to people looking to start up a business as well as existing local companies.

The programmes and workshops are part of the E3 project supported by Aberdeenshire Council and created through the UK Government’s Community Renewal Fund (CRF).

Coming up is Tourism Leadership, delivered by Carron Tobin of ruralDimensions. It is a five week programme for local businesses aimed at developing collaboration, upskilling and identifying opportunities to connect with partner organisations including the Scottish Tourism Alliance and Visit Aberdeenshire.

Another key initiative starting this week is an Agri diversification progreamme – Seeds of Success.

It is honing in on what is vital part of the local economy through a series of face to face and virtual workshops delivered by agricultural industry expert, Alison Milne MBE.

Topics which will be covered include financing, planning and regulation and brand strategy.

E3 is also running a series of online Innovation Masterclasses, with business expert Colin Rose aimed at encouraging and helping firms to harness technology and introduce new products into the market.

Digital skills are also in sharp focus with a series of workshops, networking events and advice available for both individuals and businesses.

Topics include getting your business found online and developing a website. This will be accompanied by one-to-one support from Huntly’s E3 Digital Manager and will give access to a bespoke Digital Skills platform.
