DUFFTOWN turned back the clock for a vintage Jubilee tea party last Saturday.
The event, held at the Royal British Legion in Dufftown for the Platinum Jubilee, brought the spirit of the Coronation era to the local community.
A classic buffet, tea and coffee and a live jazz band kept a roaring conversation going as the community came together to thank the Queen for her 70-year stint.
Secretary of the Dufftown Legion Claire Porter said: "We have had really good support from the community really and various agencies, groups and charities throughout Dufftown.
"So we have all really came together.
"We weren't sure how it was going to be received, with the amount of events which are going on in the area, but it has been really really well supported as you can see.
"It has definitely been better supported than we thought so it has been a busy, busy day!"
The day was split between the main hall in the Legion and the outdoor courtyard area.
Having an outdoor area meant guests could enjoy the cracking weather.
The vintage tea party was one of many events held by the Dufftown Legion.
At the tea party, Ms Porter said: "On Thursday we helped light the beacon at the top of Ben Rinnes.
"We had two of the veterans, Andrew Harold and General Sir Alastair Irwin, who both brought the beacon to the top of Ben Rinnes.
"Yesterday we had a kid's disco which was really well attended and they had a really good time.
"Today we have a tea party with a live jazz band and live music in the lounge tonight.
"And tomorrow we have got kid's cinema with a royal theme and especially the Queen's corgis, then we are playing the Mrs Brown movie for the adult cinema tomorrow too.
"The whole weekend has been totally free and, like I say, it has been really well supported so we are chuffed."
The suite of events put on by the group left organisers looking forward to a period of rest.
Ms Porter said: "I think there will be a big sigh of relief after the weekend is over.
"There will be a lot of tired committee members who will be ready for their bed.
"All this has been put on by volunteers.
"Nobody is being paid for this so it is all their free time which they are giving up, which is fantastic."
