Parade goers on Sunday (November 12) will be greeted by the Mortlach primary schoolchildren’s singing and a service at Mortlach Church at 10:30am.

The parade will set off at noon and visitors are welcome back to the Legion building after the event for refreshments.

It has been a busy period for the Legion, who have recently hosted Johnny Cash, Elvis and P!nk tribute acts, quiz nights, cinema nights, family fun days and their first ever Oktoberfest.

Claire Porter, Dufftown Legion’s secretary, said: "We, the committee, work tirelessly behind the scenes to try to bring the community together and bring the community something different.

“So keep your eyes peeled on social media, posters around Dufftown and please spread the word if we have an event coming up.”

The Legion have many events lined up for the coming months, including a Christmas farmer's market and a whiskey tasting event in December and Burns night celebrations and a family fun day in January.

The event after the remembrance parade at the Legion’s building will be an opportunity for members to pay their membership fees, which is payable to the club's secretary Claire.
