Two men were arrested yesterday following a drugs raid in Banff.

Officers from the Banff community policing team, assisted by the operational support unit, executed search warrants on a property in the town.

The two men, who are aged 38 and 58, were charged with various drugs offences and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police described the raid as an "intelligence-led operation".

A spokesperson said: "We will continue to target those who deal drugs in the local community.

"We act upon information from the public so I would urge anyone who has such information to report it either via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
