Amey is undertaking drainage works on the A96 west of Skares Farm, located seven miles south-east of Huntly from Monday, April 1 to Friday 5.

The scheme, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will see drainage works that will include a filter drain, carrier pipe installation and junction reconstruction which will alleviate flood risks and improve overall safety.

The drainage works will take place 0.8 miles west of Skares Farm and work will take place onsite between 9.15am to 3.30pm on weekdays.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will be undertaken under a 24-hour lane closure of the westbound carriageway for duration of works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
