Disruption continues for rail passengers to and from Aberdeen

Following Sunday's heavy rains and damage to sections of track across the country, the following services will not be able to run on Monday, October 9.

• Edinburgh/Queen Street - Inverness.

• Queen Street - Aberdeen/Dundee/Perth and Arbroath.

• Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh.

• Aberdeen and Dundee, these services will start at and terminate at Dundee.

The line between Aberdeen and Dundee has now reopened but trains and crew are out of position and it will take a while to get services back on schedule.

Scotrail commented : At present 10.15am you can catch a train to Dundee, get on a train to Montrose, get on the bus shuttle we've arranged from Montrose to Laurencekirk, and then get a train from there to Aberdeen and vice-versa.

• Queen St - Aberdeen, shuttle service will run between Perth and Montrose.

• Inverurie - Dyce services terminate at Laurencekirk
