Diamond day for Ellon couple

Isobel and Ian Thomson from Ellon celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary last week and were overjoyed at receiving their card from King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Cllr Gillian Owen and Deputy Lord Lieutenant Steve Mackison visited the couple and their family on Saturday afternoon.

Cllr Gillian Owen said, “One of the best tasks to carry out as a local Councillors is presenting a couple celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

"It was an absolute honour to go along to Isobel and Ian’s house on Saturday and present them with Flowers and a bottle of Whisky on behalf of the Provost and Aberdeenshire Council.”
