Aberdeenshire based confectionary manufacturer, Mackie’s of Scotland has introduced a new and innovative chocolate gift pack to Asda stores across Scotland - just in time for Christmas.
The Mackie family, famous for making ice-cream from their farm in near Rothienorman, converted an old tractor shed into what is now a state-of-the-art chocolate factory, developing various chocolate treats inspired by the much-loved flavours of Mackie’s traditional ice-cream products.
The chocolate gift pack will give shoppers the opportunity to enjoy their favourites, with Mackie’s traditional milk chocolate, honeycomb, dark chocolate and mint chocolate bars presented in a beautiful festive gift box.
When put together, the chocolate bars showcase an illustration of the local landscape surrounding the family farm.
Mackie’s has been producing chocolate since 2016 and recently refreshed the packaging and flavour offerings. Using new product development methods, they have tweaked the size of the sugar crystals used in their chocolate recipes to help bring the flavours to the fore.

"We have been scaling up our chocolate production capabilities to account for ever-increasing demand and are excited for more Scottish consumers to be given the chance to taste our range of delicious chocolate treats.

We have taken our much-loved traditional flavours such as the hand-made honeycomb pieces from our ice-cream and added these into our unique chocolate mix to create the ultimate Mackie’s treat we know Asda shoppers will love.”
