Death of man (31) in Buckie 'appears not to be suspicious'

Police Scotland say there appear to be no suspicious circumstances behind the sudden death of a 31-year-old man in Buckie.

The incident happened during the early hours of Sunday morning West Church Street.

Officers sealed off the area while investigations took place.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police were called to the West Church Street area at around 1.20am on Sunday.

"Emergency services attended and a 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
