Cultercullen Primary school celebrates landmark 150th anniversary

Cultercullen Primary school which is located in the hamlet of Cultercullen next to Udny Station from where most of the school’s pupils come is set to celebrate its 150th anniversary and is reaching out to former pupils to take part in an event later this year.
Records kept in the Grampian Regional Archives show that the school was begun in 1874 and was extended in 1996 to provides three classrooms, a general purpose room for music, library and other activities, an assembly hall, kitchen and staff room.
The school are planning a big celebration on Saturday June 8 and invite former pupils and st6aff to join in marking this very special occasion.

Two other north-east primary schools are also set to mark landmark dates this year and are reaching out to former pupils.
Fordyce Primary School located between Portsoy and Banff is celebrating its centenary year.
Pupils are eager to learn more about the school’s history and so they're looking for anyone with a connection to the school over its 100 years.
They're interested in old photographs and stories, and the pupils would love to interview anyone who’s willing to share their memories with them.

There will be a Centenary Celebration on Saturday, April 27.
And over near Inverurie, Keithhall Primary is set to mark 150 years.
They are also looking for any memories, pictures, videos or information about the school that can be shared at an open event later in the year.
