Countdown is on for Turriff Show

Thousands of people are set to descend on Turriff on Sunday and Monday as the community holds the biggest two-day agricultural show in Scotland.

On Sunday, one of the main highlights of Turriff Show is the grand parade of horses, ponies and donkeys.

Then on the Monday the focus shifts to cattle with one of the best displays of livestock in Scotland with the grand parade of cattle and Clydesdale horses.

A spokesman for the show said: “This year’s show ring entertainment comes courtesy of the 3SIXTY Bicycle Stunt Display Team.

“They will be performing stunts and tricks that are sure to amaze and astound and the show will be suitable for the whole family.

“Monday’s ringside entertainment will be the return of the Heavy Horse Turnout displays at 3pm and 4.15pm. It will be a grand spectacle that should not be missed by visitors.”

Horse events will be held on both days and these will include pony carriage driving, working hunter and British showjumping, including the new Mini Major event on Monday.

There will also be the return of the Sulky Racing, a vintage vehicle display, children’s and adult’s races, Highland dancing, the popular dog show, tug of war competitions and hundreds of trade stands.
