A popular north-east coaching inn which is set in the heart of Aberchirder in Aberdeenshire is seeking a couple or family to take over its day to day running.
The Smith family who own the premises which is also in the current process of creating its own micro-brewery are looking for a chef and front of house person for a live in position in the traditional pub.
Owners Maxine and Garry Smith explained: "The New Inn is a beautifully presented 18th Century coaching Inn with a Micro Brewery in progress being built at the rear of the building and we are seeking someone, preferably a chef with a partner/ family who would like to come and manage the place for us.
"After twelve years of running The New Inn we have both also reached our pensionable ages this last year and we are unable to run the pub and kitchen ourselves.
"The position comes with your own accommodation for you and family above the pub.
"We also have letting rooms that need to be managed.
The New Inn has been our heart and soul.
"We have carefully and lovingly restored, updated, and worked so hard to make the New Inn the warm and welcoming family place it is today.
"We get so many amazing comments weekly as new customers walk through the door about the welcoming family place they come into - they get the vibe straight away.
"We have a fabulous community with incredible dedicated people wanting to enhance the lives of others - the Mens Shed, the Foggie Neuk and Market, the Village Hall Transformation thanks to the scouts and last but not least the Aberchirder & District Community Association.
"If you are a chef or someone who is interested to come and take over the pub please send a message to us and we will be contact.
"The pub is also currently up for sale and we are confident that the person who will buy the pub will keep it running as it is, or maybe you are also interested to buy."
