Coronavirus update: Steady decline in cases continues

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2040 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 7.7 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 437 cases and NHS Lothian 265 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 228 cases while NHS Highland recorded 71 cases.

In the seven days to September 28, Aberdeenshire saw 873 cases (334.8 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 646 (282.0 per 100,000) and Moray 238 (248.7 per 100,000).

One new death has been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
