Coronavirus update: Static case numbers for NHS Grampian

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1542 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 6.6 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 345 cases and NHS Lothian 246 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 91 cases while NHS Highland recorded 94 cases.

In the seven days to August 10 there were 319 new cases in Aberdeenshire (122.3 per 100,000), 244 in Aberdeen City (106.5 per 100,000) and in Moray 77 (80.5 per 100,000).

Eight new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Cases remain firmly centred on Fraserburgh with small clusters in Kemnay, Turriff, Peterhead and Macduff now joined by a further rise in the Portlethen area which is also showing an increase.

To date in Scotland more than 4,044,950 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,412,051 people have received their second dose.
