Coronavirus update: Slight drop in NHS Grampian daily cases and increase nationally

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2459 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 12.4 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 481 cases and NHS Lothian 366 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 200 cases while NHS Highland recorded 112 cases.

In the seven days to October 16, Aberdeenshire saw 913 cases (350.1 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 583 (254.5 per 100,000) and Moray 310 (323.9 per 100,000).

There were 24 new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,291,650 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,881,744 people have received their second dose.
