Coronavirus update: Signs of easing of rates in NHS Grampian

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 1148 positive cases which equates to 7.0 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 443 cases, Lanarkshire 253, Lothian 140 and Ayrshire 83with the remaining cases across Scotland with only the Western Isles not recording positive tests.

There were 30 cases in the NHS Grampian area and 27 in the NHS Highland area.

For the seven days to October 29 there have been 76 cases in Aberdeenshire (29.1 per 100,000) and 102 in Aberdeen City (44.6 per 100,00).

In those seven days no single are has recorded more than six cases in Aberdeenshire and no more than 10 in Aberdeen City indicating a wide geographical spread at present.

A further six deaths were also recorded with Covid-19 as a contributing factor in the last 24 hours.
