Coronavirus update: NHS Grampian showing no further decline in cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2297 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 11.4 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 470 cases and NHS Lothian 406 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 285 cases (239 yesterday) while NHS Highland recorded 99 cases (85 yesterday).

In the seven days to October 7, Aberdeenshire saw 1048 cases (401.9 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 627 (273.7 per 100,000) and Moray 361 (377.2 per 100,000).

No new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, noting that register offices are generally closed at weekends

To date in Scotland more than 4,261,124 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,864,670 people have received their second dose.
