Coronavirus update: NHS Grampian records decrease in daily cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2355 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 7.4 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 409 cases and NHS Lothian 389 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 227 cases while NHS Highland recorded 125 cases.

In the seven days to October 18, Aberdeenshire saw 885 cases (339.4 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 599 (261.5 per 100,000) and Moray 305 (318.7 per 100,000).

There were 32 new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,297,028 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,886,176 people have received their second dose.
