Coronavirus update: NHS Grampian continues to show an overall slow decline in cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2086 positive cases of coronavirus (2636 yesterday) which equates to 6.6 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 552 cases and NHS Lothian 376 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 187 (224) new cases while NHS Highland recorded 96 (92) new cases.

For the seven days to July 14 NHS Grampian recorded 1418 cases, taking the total in the area to since the start of the pandemic to 21,325.

In the seven days to July 12 there were 532 new cases in Aberdeenshire (203.7 per 100,000), 730 in Aberdeen City (319.2 per 100,000) and in Moray 140 (146.1 per 100,000).

19 new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,956,549 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,927,130 people have received their second dose.
